President of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon sent to the President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin a message of condolences following the crash of a Russian aircraft in Egypt.

The message reads in particular:

"Dear Vladimir Vladimirovich,

We have been shocked by the news of the terrible accident of a passenger aircraft in the Sinai Peninsula, which resulted in the deaths of more than two hundred people, including children.

In this heartbreaking hour, expressing on behalf of the Tajik people the deepest condolences to the leadership and people of friendly Russia in connection with this tragedy, I ask to convey to the families and friends of the victims our empathy. "
