President of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon has sent a message of condolences to the Prime Minister of Japan Shinzo Abe, which reads as follows: ‎

"Your Excellency,

It was with deep shock and sadness that I learned about the series of strong earthquakes that hit your country, which killed and injured a large number of people and caused considerable material damage.

In these difficult times for the friendly people of Japan, I express my deepest condolences to the families of the victims of this tragic disaster, and wish a speedy recovery to all those injured”.
