Meeting with former Prime Minister of the State of Kuwait Sheikh Nasser Mohammed Al-Sabah

In the sidelines of his official visit to the State of Kuwait Leader of the Nation, President of the Republic of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon has met also with the former Prime Minister of the State of Kuwait Sheikh Nasser Mohammed Al-Sabah.

"In Tajikistan, the people know you as an outstanding and successful politician and statesman of Kuwait, the Islamic world and international scale, consider your political experience in the post of the Prime Minister of Kuwait an exemplary teaching," - said at the beginning of the conversation President Emomali Rahmon.

The meeting reminded the role of the former Prime Minister of the State of Kuwait in the expansion of comprehensive business and foreign economic relations of Kuwait and noted that in the framework of this policy today favorable conditions and the necessary framework have been created for the introduction of multifaceted relations between Tajikistan and Kuwait to a qualitatively new stage.

Taking into account the availability of resources and the necessary foundations it was emphasized the importance and timeliness of attracting investment and advanced technologies of Kuwait for the implementation of economic projects in Tajikistan, the construction of transport and communication infrastructure, the strengthening of cooperation in hydropower area, extraction of minerals, production of non-ferrous metals, agricultural products processing, production of industrial consumer goods and tourism industry.

The meeting also exchanged views on important regional issues, including peace and stability in the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan and the fight against terrorism and extremism.
