The Founder of Peace and National Unity - Leader of the Nation, President of the Republic of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon attended and delivered speech at the first meeting of the Council for Youth Affairs under the President of the Republic of Tajikistan.

It should be recalled that the National Council on Youth Affairs under the President of the Republic of Tajikistan was established by the Decree of the President of the Republic of Tajikistan on July 18, 2015, and consists of 43 members, including the Chairman, Deputy Chairman, Secretary and responsible members of the Council.

Establishment of the Council is the next step of the highest political leadership of the country in social and economic life of Tajikistan and in the near future the Council will provide direct and effective communication between young people and the country's leadership.

The Head of State, Chairman of the Council on Youth Affairs of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon in his speech stressed that the purpose of creation of the Council chaired by the President of the country is to consider issues related to the realization of the state youth policy and to attract young people to important state and public affairs, the implementation of more effective methods of cooperation and coordination of central and local government authorities with youth associations and organizations.

It was emphasized that the implementation of the Council under the leadership of the Head of State is the supreme example of trust and respect of senior management of the country to the youth of the country, which will allow as much as possible to support their proposals in a timely manner to consider existing in this direction problems, even more elaborate and specify the path and the way forward in youth activities.

President of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon, recalling the role and place of youth in the socio-economic life of the country, called on the representatives of the civil society layer to refrain from joining negative phenomena of the modern world, including entry into the ranks of all kinds of terrorist and extremist organizations as well as drug addiction and crime, to get more involved in the study of science, scientific research, inventions, their spiritual and physical development, actively participate in important social and political affairs, the development of new innovative projects focusing on the interests of the state and nation.

The head of state Emomali Rahmon gave specific orders and instructions to heads of corresponding ministries and departments on how to improve the conditions and opportunities for youth, expansion of construction of sports halls and grounds for the purpose of community health improvement and promotion of mass sports, greater youth involvement in sports activities, sports promotion and healthy lifestyles, development of tourism and the creation of its modern infrastructure, creation of additional jobs, allocating grant funds for youth for the promotion of small and medium-sized businesses and organizations on this basis, work at home, including spinning, weaving, carpet weaving, gold embroidery skills and other types of crafts, the creation of new research centers, crafts, education of active and initiative civil servants in order to involve them in decision-making positions, strengthen propaganda work among the youth, especially rural youth, bringing them employment, contribute to the prevention of cases of worshiping of alien values ​​and the involvement of youth in extremist and terrorist organizations and movements.

After the speech of the President of the country Emomali Rahmon were also delivered speeches by members of the Council and other participants of the meeting, Abdullozoda Ahtam Rustam - Chairman of the Committee for Youth Affairs, Sports and Tourism under the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan, Shahzod Rahimzoda - the Head of Youth, Sports and Tourism Office at the Khatlon region, Suraj Chorshanbiyev - the head of the youth division, sport and tourism at the Badakhshon Autonomous Mountainous Region, Fathiddin Solehov - Director of the National center for opportunities for young peoples of the Committee for Youth Affairs, Sports and Tourism under the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan, Dilrukhsor Farmonova - the young scientist and other participants who expressed gratitude to the Leader of the Nation Emomali Rahmon for the creation of modern conditions for learning, initiative and constant care of the country's youth.

Members of the Board at the first meeting reviewed all the issues included in the agenda of the meeting, defined and specified the topics and tasks of the next Council meeting.
