The Founder of Peace and National Unity - Leader of the Nation, President of the Republic of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon held today a telephone conversation with the President of Russian Federation Vladimir Putin.

The conversation took place in a cordial and friendly atmosphere characteristic of mutual esteem and respect between the two heads of state. Emomali Rahmon has warmly congratulated the Russian President on his birthday expressing him best regards.

President of the Republic of Tajikistan, noting the high authority of Vladimir Putin in Russia and far beyond its borders, emphasized his outstanding role in the progressive development of relations of close friendship and multifaceted cooperation between Tajikistan and Russia.

It was stated that a targeted joint work to strengthen the Tajik-Russian strategic partnership is in the fundamental interests of the peoples of the two countries and is a factor of regional stability and security.
