The issues of inter-parliamentary cooperation between Tajikistan and the Czech Republic have been discussed at the meeting of the Founder of Peace and National Unity, Leader of the Nation, President of the Republic of Tajikistan, His Excellency Emomali Rahmon and Chairman of Chamber of Deputies of the Parliament of the Czech Republic, Mr. Jan Hamáček, on December 2, in Prague.
Head of State Emomali Rahmon noted that Tajikistan and the Czech Republic since the early days of the establishment of cooperation chose different and priority areas for the strengthening of relationships, and special attention is also given to the expanding of inter-parliamentary cooperation.
It was stressed that inter-parliamentary relations with new content can contribute to a significant extent to improving the process of bilateral and multilateral partnership between our countries.
In this regard, the establishment of the Parliamentary Group between Majlisi namoyandagon Majlisi Oli of the Republic of Tajikistan and the Parliament of the Czech Republic was interpreted as one of the factors for the development of inter-parliamentary cooperation in the strengthening of relations between Tajikistan and the Czech Republic.
During the meeting other topics of bilateral relations were discussed. An exchange of views took place on using of investment, commercial and financial opportunities of the Czech Republic in the process of development of economic cooperation between the two countries, including in spheres of hydro energy, tourism and new technologies for agricultural products processing.
Joint struggle against the threats of the modern world, such as terrorism, extremism, illegal drug trafficking was among the topics of the talks. The parties had an exchange of views on their solution.
