The President of Ukraine Viktor Yanukovich sent to the President of the Republic of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon a congratulatory message on the occasion of the 20th anniversary since the establishment of diplomatic relations between Ukraine and Tajikistan, which reads in part:

“For the past period our states have accomplished a significant work on comprehensive expansion and deepening of mutually beneficial bilateral cooperation and have achieved a high level of interaction within the framework of international organizations.

Undoubtedly, the agreements that we achieved during your official visit to Ukraine have made a weighty contribution in consistent development of traditional friendly relations between our countries.

I am convinced that the implementation of joint projects in spheres of mutual interest will favor further enhancement of national economies for the good of peoples of Ukraine and Tajikistan, strengthening positions of our states on the international arena”.
