The President of the Republic of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon addressed a congratulatory message to the President of the Republic of South Korea Lee Myung-bak on the occasion of the 20th anniversary since the establishment of diplomatic relations between Tajikistan and Korea, which reads in part:

“Over the 20-year period the relations between our countries have covered many fields of mutual interest in bilateral and multilateral cooperation due to joint efforts and today they are in the phase of sustainable development.

Tajikistan always feels permanent socio-economic and humanitarian support of your country within the framework of programs and projects of Korean International Cooperation Agency and highly evaluates its consistent efforts with a view to find new ways of long-term and constructive regional partnership through the Forum of Cooperation between the Central Asian countries and the Republic of Korea.

Currently we are confident that the relations between both countries in various spheres of cooperation, including socio-economic and humanitarian still have many untapped opportunities and their realization will be for the good of our peoples”.
