Meeting with the Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriate of Palestine Dr. Riad Maliki

The Founder of Peace and National Unity – Leader of the Nation, President of the Republic of Tajikistan His Excellency Emomali Rahmon received the Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriate of Palestine Dr. Riad Maliki.

It was stressed that Tajikistan pays special attention to the development of relations with friendly Palestine and hopes to make joint efforts to push interstate relations to a higher level.

The Palestinian Foreign Minister highly appraised the role of Tajikistan in solving global and regional issues and expressed Palestine’s readiness to further strengthen relationships with Tajikistan.

Both sides shared the view that their countries agreed on holding political consultations, to make use of inter-parliamentary cooperation's potential, in particular the creation of Tajikistani - Palestinian Inter-Parliamentary Friendship Group, direct dialogue between Tajik- Palestinian business representatives and holding of an exhibition of goods.

The two sides also discussed matters pertaining to ensuring regional security, combating international terrorism, extremism and transnational organized crime.
