Reception of credentials from 5 new ambassadors

The Founder of Peace and National Unity – Leader of the Nation, President of the Republic of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon received in the Palace of the Nation credentials from five newly appointed ambassadors of foreign countries.

The following ambassadors presented their credentials to the President of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon: Hasan Dilsuz oglu Mammadzadeh (Republic of Azerbaijan), Ergash Shoismatov (Republic of Uzbekistan), Ihab Ahmed Talaat Nasr (Arab Republic of Egypt), Jan Bory (Slovak Republic) and Emilio Pevida Pupo (Republic of Cuba).

During his address the head of our state Emomali Rahmon sincerely congratulated the newly appointed ambassadors on official assumption of their office as heads of diplomatic missions in Tajikistan and expressed confidence that the ambassadors through their fruitful diplomatic activities will promote actively the expansion and deepening of mutually advantageous multilfaceted cooperation between Tajikistan and states that they represent.

It was stressed that the relations of friendship and cooperation between our countries have a broad platform for their further development and strengthening.

President Emomali Rahmon made a statement for further expansion of friendly relations and win-win cooperation between Tajikistan and the CIS member nations, the Central Asian region, the Arab world, the European Union and the countries of American continent and believes that the activities of the newly appointed ambassadors in Tajikistan will be productive for the benefit of the states and bring it to a qualitatively new level.

In his address, the Head of State Emomali Rahmon reminded abount the global initiatives of Tajikistan related to water issues and struggle against contemporary threats.

It was noted that the achievement of positive results in the fight against terrorism and extremism, religious radicalism, illegal drug trade and other forms of transnational organized crime largely depends on joint and coordinated efforts.
