The visit of the President of the Republic of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon to the People’s Republic of China began from the Fujian Province, which is situated in southeastern part of this country.

The Head of Tajik State has been warmly welcomed at the airport of Xiamen city of Fujian Province.

At the beginning of the visit the President of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon met with mayor (Secretary of Party Committee) of Xiamen city Liu Kesin.

The issues of establishment and enhancement of cooperation of Tajikistan with this great and ancient Chinese city have been considered at the meeting.

As it was noted, it is worth to study and adopt successful practices of Xiamen in development of economy, trade and town building.

Emomali Rahmon instructed his delegation to represent Tajikistan adequately in annual trade and investment fair of Xiamen.

In his turn, Xiamen’s mayor Liu Kesin expressed interest in participation of this city’s business and commercial circles in an exhibition – sale of their products in Tajikistan.

A constructive talk has been also held on the development of cooperation in spheres of extraction and processing of natural resources, agricultural products and in education, healthcare, tourism, etc.

The visit of the President of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon to the People’s Republic of China is to be continued.

Only in Fujian Province meetings of the President with this province’s governor, professors and students of Xiamen University, leaders of a number of authoritative companies and participation in bilateral business and investment forum are expected.
