Meeting with Governor of China’s Fujian province Su Shulin

The President of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon held a constructive talk with Governor of Fujian province of the People’s Republic of China Su Shulin in Xiamen.

With reference to hundred-fold increase of trade turnover between Tajikistan and China in 10 recent years and more than 2 billion USD of its annual growth, it was expressed confidence that the role of Fujian province will enhance more in this process.

The fruitful activities of Zijin company of Fujian province in Tajikistan were called as a good example of an effective cooperation.

It was noted with satisfaction that Zijin company has increased the production of gold by introducing up-to-date technology and equipment and thus created more than 2 thousand jobs in Zarafshon joint enterprise of Tajikistan.

It was expressed confidence that the companies of this province will further take an active part in construction of small and medium power stations, new industrial enterprises and development of agricultural technology of Tajikistan.

A positive talk was also held on the enhancement of cooperation in spheres of science and education, as well as other subjects of interest.

Following the meeting an Agreement on the establishment of brotherly ties between the Sughd region of Tajikistan and Fujian province of China has been signed in the presence of the President of the Republic of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon.
