The state visit of the President of the Republic of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon has finished with numerous valuable results.

During his fruitful visit to the People’s Republic of China the Head of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon went to Xiamen, Lianchen, Shanhan and Beijing. President Emomali Rahmon along with meetings with high-level leadership of this country and participation in the Shanghai Cooperation Organization Summit of Head of States held 25 constructive talks with the presidents of the Islamic Republic of Iran, the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan and the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, authoritative political, economic, investment circles and leaders of world-famous companies of China.

In these days only with participation and in presence of the President of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon 10 new documents of interstate, intergovernmental and interdepartmental cooperation between the two countries in spheres of energy, industry, road building, geology, agriculture, banking, television and radio communication, etc. have been signed.

Many other arrangements have been achieved between the state and private enterprises and companies, as well as businessmen of Tajikistan and China.

Due to one of such arrangements a cement-producing enterprise with annual issue of 3 million tons of high-quality cement of type 620 will be constructed in Shahritus district at the expense of more than 600 million USD of direct investment in the shortest period. As a result more than 5 thousand persons will get permanent jobs. Its first stage should be put in commission after one year with annual production of 1 million ton of cement.

The construction of Dushanbe-2 heating plant will be finished in next one-year period and numerous investments will be made in different spheres of Tajikistan’s economy.

According to all documents signed during this visit the general volume of grants, technical aids, preferential credits and direct investments from the People’s Republic of China to the Republic of Tajikistan have accounted for more than 1 billion US dollars.

This evening the President of the Republic of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon after the end of a fruitful and successful visit returned to his homeland from Beijing of the People’s Republic of China.
