Personnel appointments

The Founder of Peace and National Unity, Leader of the Nation, President of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon met with the newly appointed officials to the leadership positions in the Tajikistan’s State Committee for National Security and the Ministry of Internal Affairs. The meeting focused on ensuring peace and security, strengthening the rule of law, the fight against terrorism, extremism, and drug trafficking and other forms of transnational organized crime.

By governmental decrees Kamolzoda Farhod Vohid who has served as the Chairman of the Committee on Food Security has been appointed First Deputy Chairman of Tajikistan’s State Committee for National Security and Faizullozoda Muhammad Ubaidullo has been appointed to the post of Chairman of the Committee on Food Security.

In agreement with President Emomali Rahmon the head of the State Service for Protection of Internal Affairs, the heads of the departments on the fight against illicit drug trafficking, the prevention of offenses among juveniles and youth and the heads of second MIA Departments in the Firdavsi district as well as MIA first and second departments in the Sino district and the second MIA department in the Shohmansur district of Dushanbe have been replaced.

Staff changes have also been made in the management of MIA departments in Kubodiyon, Baljuvon, Mir Sayyid Ali Hamadani, Dusti of Khatlon Province, Lakhsh districts and Istiqlol of Sughd.

President Emomali Rahmon gave specific instructions to the leaderships and responsible persons of the security and law enforcement agencies regarding achieving the constructive goals of the government – sustainable development and ensuring a decent life, noting that training of young and promising personnel is the main task of every leader.

“Protection of rights and interests of the state and nation, preventing undesirable acts, especially violence and bribery are among the issues that should intensify the fight in this area,” said President Emomali Rahmon.
