Today, the Founder of Peace and National Unity, Leader of the Nation, President of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon presided over a regular session of the government of Tajikistan.

The meeting focused on the government action plan in the first half of 2020, and included 36 issues and 18 points of the action plan of the government.

Following the discussion, the action plan which charges the heads of ministries and government agencies to undertake specific measures to prepare and conduct high-level events of national and international importance was adopted.

The Minister of Education and Science Nuriddin Said reported on the process of implementation of the National Education Development Strategy of Tajikistan through 2020 and noted that the National Education Development Strategy was developed with the purpose of effectively enhancing the education system in accordance to the world experience.

Minister of Finance Faiziddin Kahhorzoda reported on measures for implementation of the Law of the Republic of Tajikistan "On the State Budget of the Republic of Tajikistan for 2020" and on the development of indicators of the state budget of Tajikistan for 2021-2023 and on the draft law “On state budget of the Republic of Tajikistan for 2021”.

Government members discussed the bills, including the draft laws “On Privatization of State Property," “On Concept of Digital Economy," “On the Tax Administration Modernization Program for 2020-2025” and “On the State Employment Promotion Program of Tajikistan for 2020-2022."

President Emomali Rahmon drew the attention of the government members to the results of the development of national economy sectors in 2019, expansion of landscaping, beautification and providing material assistance to orphans and disabled people.
