During the conversation, the leaders of the two countries in an atmosphere of friendship exchanged warm holiday greetings and wished the Tajik and Uzbek peoples - peace, prosperity and well-being.
President of Tajikistan noted that despite this year's challenges, the parties were able to implement most of the previously reached agreements.
Regular meetings of the Tajik-Uzbek Intergovernmental Commission on Trade and Economic Cooperation have helped facilitate this process.
The Tajik-Uzbek joint venture Artel Avesto Electronics and secondary educational institution that was financed by the Uzbek government in the Spitamen district of Tajikistan were also mentioned.
While emphasizing the close cooperation in the fight against COVID-19 infection, the Head of Tajik state noted that the humanitarian aid delivered by Uzbekistan serves as the highest form of manifestation of the traditions of good-neighborliness and mutual assistance, which represent a historically inherent link between the two peoples.
Concluding the conversation, the leaders reaffirmed their mutual intention to further strengthen bilateral long-term and multilateral relations of strategic partnership.
