10.05.2021 10:00, Dushanbe city

On May 10, the Founder of Peace and National Unity, Leader of the Nation, President of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon sent a message of condolences to the President of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan Mohammad Ashraf Ghani.

The message reads, in particular:

«Excellency,

It is with deep sorrow and immeasurable hatred that I have received the news of numerous casualties among the civilian population, including young girls, following the terrible and dastardly terrorist attack in western Kabul.

There is no forgiveness for this cruel and deadly act of violence committed by the forces of evil in the last days of the blessed month of Ramadan. While we strongly condemn any manifestation of terrorism and extremism, we reiterate the urgent need to intensify the merciless struggle against these global threats of our time.

On my own behalf and on behalf of the people of Tajikistan, I express my sincere condolences and words of sympathy and support to the families and friends of the victims, as well as to the entire fraternal people of Afghanistan. I pray to the Almighty for the speedy recovery of the injured.»
