President received letters of credence from the ambassadors

Today the President of the country Emomali Rahmon received credentials from the newly appointed ambassadors of Turkmenistan, Japan, France, Romania, South Africa and Sovereign Order of Malta.

After the reception of credentials, the Head of State Emomali Rahmon congratulated all ambassadors on the beginning of their important missions in Tajikistan and expressed confidence that by their fruitful diplomatic activities they will actively assist in developing and strengthening friendly relations and wide-ranging beneficial cooperation.

Emomali Rahmon called Turkmenistan one of the important partners of Tajikistan in the space of the Commonwealth of Independent States and expressed assurance that the regular political dialogue between the two countries will be continued during the upcoming visit of Tajik President to Ashgabat.

It was expressed satisfaction over the process of enhancement of relations between Tajikistan and the French Republic, Japan, Romania and the Republic of South Africa. The Head of State Emomali Rahmon in particular noted on the consistent support of Japan regarding the stable socio-economic development of Tajikistan: “during the twenty years of independence we regularly felt an impartial support and assistance of the community and state of Japan and we always appreciate it”.

The expansion of legal-treaty basis was first of all considered necessary for the further development of relationship between Tajikistan and the South Africa.

The Head of State Emomali Rahmon highly commended the activities of the Sovereign Order of Malta in the international arena, which are based on principles of humanity and neutrality, as well as highlighted Tajikistan’s interest in boosting cooperation with this country.
