Today the President of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon sent a congratulatory message to the President of Kyrgyzstan Almazbek Atambayev on the occasion of the anniversary of state independence of the Kyrgyz Republic, which reads, in particular:

It gives me pleasure to congratulate you and the Kyrgyz people on the anniversary of the state independence of the Kyrgyz Republic.

Tajikistan intends to make all necessary efforts to harness the rich potential of the relations of friendship, good neighborliness and mutually beneficial cooperation between the two countries, which have deep historical roots.

I am confident that the cooperation between our two countries will continue to grow steadily for the benefit of our peoples for peace, stability and progress.
