Visit to Karnataka state of India

This morning the President of the Republic of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon visited the centre of Karnataka state of the Republic of India the city of Bangalore, got familiarized with several technological enterprises and met with the Governor of the state Hansraj Bhardwaj.

During the visit to production enterprises, companies HAL and Infosys Technologies Limited, it was in particular demonstrated that Bangalore has very well developed in economic and technical aspects, as well as has been called “Silicon valley” for its rapid technological, information and communication progress and innovations.

At the meeting with the Governor of Karnataka state the issues of mutually beneficial cooperation between Tajikistan and this developed area of India have been reviewed.

It was expressed interest in the establishment and enhancement of cooperation in the domains of automobile construction industry, production of electronic materials, telecommunications, silk weaving, biotechnology, agriculture, including stone and decorative crops, flower growing and raw silk materials.

The wide attraction of private businessmen to the development of cooperation and realization of achievements of modern scientific, technical and technological progress has been considered necessary.
