This evening in Kuwait the President of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon held a meeting with the President of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan Hamid Karzai.

The issues related to the development of bilateral and multilateral cooperation between Tajikistan and Afghanistan have been considered at the meeting.

The heads of both states stressed the necessity of strengthening interaction in the domain of realization of infrastructure projects, including the project to construct railway Tajikistan – Afghanistan in the route Rumi – Sherkhan Bandar – Qunduz and its expansion to directions of Mazari Sharif – Atamurad, Mazari Sharif – Heart and projects to construct power transmission line CASA-1000, new border points and others.
