Today in the afternoon the President of the Republic of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon had a telephone conversation with the President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov.

The heads of both friendly states exchanged views on current state and prospects of development of bilateral relations and urgent issues of regional life.

Particular attention was focused on the issues of holding International Navruz Holiday, which will be conducted in Ashgabat this year. The presidents agreed that the meetings and negotiations to be held in the framework of upcoming holiday will allow discussing and outlining the ways to address many issues for the benefit of peoples of Tajikistan and Turkmenistan, as well as the whole region in general.
