President of the Republic of Tajikistan

Beginning of top level negotiations between Tajikistan and Kuwait

24.06.2013 07:51, Kuwait

The substantial review of prospects of relations and bilateral cooperation has been continued at the top level talks of heads of both states with the participation of official delegations.

As it was stressed, Tajikistan and Kuwait can develop a wide-range cooperation in different spheres of social life, including regional and world policy, economy, trade, and investment, energy, road-building, agriculture, education, health, culture, science and technology, tourism and etc.

The most important is that the head of both states and leadership of governments of the two countries are firmly interested in this cause.

The signing of 6 new cooperation documents, which took place in the presence of heads of both states and top-level delegations, demonstrates this clearly. The signed documents are as following:

Intergovernmental Agreement on Visa-Free Regime for Holders of Diplomatic, Special and Service Passports;

Intergovernmental Agreement on the Cooperation in the Areas of Culture and Craft;

Intergovernmental Agreement on Avoidance from Double Taxation and Prevention of Fiscal Evasion with respect to Taxes on Income and Capital Gains;

Intergovernmental Agreement on Cooperation in the Area of Tourism;

Intergovernmental Agreement on Cooperation in the Area of Healthcare;

Memorandum of Understanding on Cooperation between the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan and Kuwait Development Fund.

Moreover, a Joint Declaration of heads of both states has been published, which comprises most important points of bilateral meetings and prospects of cooperation between Tajikistan and Kuwait.
