Today in Moscow, a meeting was held between the President of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon and President of Russia Vladimir Putin.
A wide range of issues related to friendly relations and mutually beneficial cooperation between Tajikistan and Russia have been considered.
Main attention was paid to different aspects of economic, trade, military and military-technical cooperation, strengthening of regional security, as well as areas of energy, labor migration, education, science and technology and culture.
Vladimir Putin noted with satisfaction that “from total volume of external trade cooperation of Tajikistan 21 percent is the contribution of Russia”. He also added that “the volume of investment of Russia to Tajik economy makes up 1,5 billion USD”.
A constructive talk also took place on the terms of ratification and fruitful implementation of documents signed in October 2012 during an official visit of Vladimir Putin to Dushanbe. As it was mentioned, these issues will find their solution in the nearest future.
