Today, September 23, in the city of Sochi, the Russian Federation, a regular meeting of the Collective Security Council of the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO) started.
The heads of the Member States of the Organization - Armenia, Belarus, Russia, Tajikistan, Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan came to Sochi to participate in this Summit.
It was emphasized among the key themes of the CSTO summit - aid of the CSTO to Tajikistan to strengthen the border with neighboring Afghanistan. This question is proposed in connection with the withdrawal of international peacekeeping forces out of Afghanistan in 2014 and it is expected that upon completion of the meeting a document on the subject will be signed.
The meeting will also address other issues related to the strengthening and expansion of cooperation among the members of the organization and a number of important decisions.
