In Shanghai of China the Summit of the Conference on Interaction and Confidence Building Measures in Asia (CICA) has started its work.

11 heads of Asian states, leaders of 10 international organizations, including UN Secretary-General and numerous delegations from other member and observer states have arrived for participation in this summit.

The consideration of security and cooperation issues related to Asian continent and contribution to the world processes of fight against terrorism, extremism, illegal drug trafficking and transnational crime are among the main goals of the summit.

Head of Tajik state Emomali Rahmon, with reference to rapid development of many Asian countries, has stressed: “this continent can and should give a great impetus to the construction of prosperous and safe Asia”.

“Tajikistan is ready to make a noticeable contribution to this process”, - stated Head of state Emomali Rahmon.
