Today, President of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon on his return trip from Shanghai shortly stopped in Urumqi city of Xinjiang Uighur Autonomous Region of China and met with the Member of Central Political Bureau, Secretary of Party Committee of XUAR Zhang Chunxian.

The issues of cooperation with this vast region of China, neighboring Tajikistan, were considered at the meeting.

Much attention was paid to the questions of activity of border checkpoint Kulma-Karasu during all seasons of year, conformity of quality of road between Tajikistan and China to international standards, fruitful implementation of documents signed with this Region.

The prospects of good relations and neighborliness were highly commended.
