The discussion of urgent issues was continued at the official negotiations with the participation of enlarged delegations of both countries.
Alexander Lukashenko named Tajikistan “a reliable partner of Belarus in the strategically important region of Central Asia” and addressing to the delegation of Government of Belarus, stated: “we should assist Tajikistan as much as we can”.
A constructive talk took place on the political, economic, trade, investment, security, cultural, and humanitarian cooperation.
The deeper activities of the Joint Intergovernmental Commission for Economic and Trade Cooperation and Business Council of both countries was considered necessary for fruitful implementation of an existing wide legal-treaty basis.
It was stressed that the construction of joint venture for production of tractors and agricultural machinery in Tajikistan should be accelerated.
According to heads of both states, also the construction of joint enterprises in the sectors of processing of cotton, fruits and vegetables and on the production of every-day goods would be beneficial.
It was expressed interest in the establishment and development of direct cooperation between the regions, cities and districts, free economic areas and other economic subjects of both countries.
As it was mentioned, cooperation between the scientific-productive, higher education institutions, healthcare and cultural institutions is also promising.
A constructive exchange of views also took place on the current situation in the region and the world, as well as cooperation for maintaining regional security and stability.
