This morning, President Emomali Rahmon conducted a working meeting, which was attended by the Prime Minister and his deputies, heads of relevant ministries and agencies, officials of the Executive Office of the President of the Republic of Tajikistan.

The meeting discussed preparations for the winter and the acceleration of agricultural works.

Specific tasks have been assigned to the responsible persons for preparation of all areas of social life, food products and fuel, of electrical and transport networks, other communication infrastructure, harvesting crops, preparing for early sowing of winter crops, increasing the number of greenhouses for growing vegetables, as well as other urgent works.

The need for serious, timely and quality preparatory works for the coming winter was emphasized.

Given the growing demand for early vegetables in the domestic and foreign markets, there was a stressed the need to expand plantings of potatoes, onions and other kinds of early vegetables.
