Today the President of the Republic of Tajikistan, relying on the principle of humanity, compassion, honoring the rights and freedoms of humans and citizens, on the eve of the 20th anniversary since the adoption of the Constitution of the Republic of Tajikistan, signed the Law of the Republic of Tajikistan "On Amnesty", submitted by the President to Majlisi namoyandagon of Majlisi Oli of the Republic Tajikistan.

This law is applied to persons in need of pardon in terms of gender, age, health status, eliminating the danger of the crime committed and will facilitate their return to civilian life and work, as well as in the family environment.

Under the new Law of the Republic of Tajikistan "On Amnesty", amnesty is provided for more than ten thousand people, mainly women, minors, the sick, the elderly, the disabled, those convicted of various crimes and persons under investigation and trial.
