In the afternoon working visit of President Emomali Rahmon in Sughd region continued in the city of Khujand.

At the beginning of trip to the ancient Khujand in the city center with the participation of President Emomali Rahmon was opened the reconstructed cultural and entertainment park named after Kamol Khujandi with a monument, a symbolic garden and home of the eloquent Tajik poet, whose real tomb is located in Tabrez of the Islamic Republic of Iran.

It should be recalled that the reconstruction of the park named after Kamol Khujandi was launched on behalf of President Emomali Rahmon in 2014.

The evening of 22 March President Emomali Rahmon on one of the fields of the central stadium of the city of Khujand got acquainted with the Tajik team on chavgonbozi (Polo) and watched their demonstration game.

It was noted that the Tajik national game disappeared in recent years in Tajikistan, now being revived again in collaboration with the Federation of polo of the Islamic Republic of Iran.

To establish training and the organization of games necessary ammunition for horses and equipment for the players was purchased from Argentina.

To date has been created a field, specially built for the maintenance and training of horses, as well as established work on the study of the game.

President Emomali Rahmon expressed satisfaction with this initiative and stressed that chavgonbozi was and is the national game of the Tajik-Aryan peoples, which should be revived and improved throughout Tajikistan.

Then, President Emomali Rahmon attended and spoke at the central festivities in honor of Navruz, held at the central stadium of the city of Khujand, once again congratulated with the commencement of the global celebration inhabitants of Sughd region and throughout Tajikistan, as well as overseas compatriots, other peoples, celebrating Happy Navruz.
