In the afternoon the President of the country Emomali Rahmon received a number of high-ranking participants of the Fifth Regional Economic Cooperation Conference on Afghanistan (RECCA-V).

During the meeting of Emomali Rahmon with the Minister of Transport of France Thierry Mariani the issues of bilateral and regional cooperation between both countries have been considered.

Thierry Mariani handed the message of the President of France Nicolas Sarkozy to the Head of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon, in which it is expressed gratitude to the Tajikistani side for high-level and favorable organization of the mentioned conference and notable role in development of regional cooperation.
Thierry Mariani highlighted the interest of France in the expansion of interaction with Tajikistan with the view of implementation of economic, trade, transport and transit projects in Central Asia and Afghanistan.
