In the second half of the day President of the country Emomali Rahmon received the Economic Development Minister of the Republic of Azerbaijan Shohin Mustafoev.

The issues regarding friendly relations and mutually advantageous cooperation between Tajikistan and Azerbaijan have been considered at the meeting.
With satisfaction over holding the first session of the Intergovernmental Commission on Trade and Economic Cooperation between Tajikistan and Azerbaijan it was accentuated that the abundant opportunities and resources of both countries should be used with a view to developing fruitful ties.

Much attention was focused on the enhancement of transport links for increase of volume of goods transportation and boosting transit potential of both countries.

A constructive talk was held also on the issues of regional and international agenda.
