Meeting with President of Armenia Serzh Sargsyan

This evening, President of the Republic of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon met with the President of Armenia Serzh Sargsyan.

The heads of the two friendly countries exchanged views on expanding friendly relations and mutually beneficial cooperation.

Emomali Rahmon welcomed Serge Sargsyan to Tajikistan, and expressed his confidence that the visit of the distinguished guest will give a serious impetus to the development of bilateral relations.

The President of Armenia, in his turn, noted the high level Tajikistan's chairmanship in the CSTO, and stressed that: "We  held a lot of meetings and discussions at the summit of the regional and international organizations  and the time has come to make official visits and to seek the implementation of our agreements reached ".

In this regard, Serzh Sargsyan invited Emomali Rahmon to visit Armenia on an official visit.

It was stressed that between Tajikistan and Armenia today have been signed more than 20 documents, including the organization and expansion of cooperation in trade, economy, agriculture, health, education, science and culture.

A constructive talk took palace on cooperation in the fields of politics and security of Tajikistan and Armenia, including in the framework of the UN, CSTO and other regional and international organizations.
