Ladies and gentlemen,

At the outset, I would like to welcome cordially the President of the Islamic Republic of Iran, His Excellency Ebrahim Raisi, to Tajikistan.

I would also like to congratulate His Excellency on their election to the high post of President of the Islamic Republic of Iran and express my satisfaction with their first visit in this capacity in Tajikistan.

Tajikistan-Iranian talks took place in Palace of Nation in Dushanbe, following which a package of cooperation agreements was signed.

President Emomali Rahmon and President Ebrahim Raisi adopted the Joint Declaration of the President of the Republic of Tajikistan and the President of the Islamic Republic of Iran today.

Dushanbe has hosted talks between President of Tajikistan His Excellency Emomali Rahmon and President of the Islamic Republic of Iran Dr Seyyed Ebrahim Raisi.

After the official welcoming ceremony and performing of both nations' anthems, President Emomali Rahmon met with Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi in a restricted format. Later Tajik-Iranian summit talks continued in the presence of both delegations.

Tajikistan-Pakistan talks took place in Palace of Nation in Dushanbe, following which a package of cooperation agreements was signed.

President Emomali Rahmon and Prime Minister Imran Khan adopted the Joint Declaration of the President of the Republic of Tajikistan and the Prime Minister of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan.

First of all, I would like to once again welcome the distinguished Prime Minister of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, His Excellency Imran Khan, on his arrival in Tajikistan, and express gratitude for the official visit to our country.

Our negotiations have traditionally passed in an atmosphere of friendship and absolute mutual understanding.

President Emomali Rahmon held talks with the Prime Minister of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan Imran Khan, who is in Tajikistan on an official visit.

Following the official welcoming ceremony, President Rahmon and Prime Minister Khan had a one-on-one discussion. Later the talks continued in an expanded format.

Pressing issues pertaining to bilateral cooperation between Tajikistan and Pakistan, as well as certain urgent items on the international and regional agenda were the focus of the discussion.

The Founder of Peace and National Unity, Leader of the Nation, President of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon chaired the joint meeting of the Heads of State of the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation (SCO) and the Collective Security Treaty Organisation (CSTO) which focused on the latest developments in Afghanistan.

The meeting was held within the framework of Tajikistan’s presidency in both organizations.

The Founder of Peace and National Unity, Leader of the Nation, President of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon chaired the session of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) Council of Heads of State marking the organisation’s 20th anniversary.

President of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon, President of the Republic of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev, Prime Minister of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan Imran Khan, President of the Kyrgyz Republic Sadyr Japarov attended in person.

The Founder of Peace and National Unity, Leader of the Nation, President of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon met with the President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, who is in Dushanbe to take part in the session of the Council of Heads of State of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) as an honorary guest.

The discussion focused on the current state and prospects of Tajik — Turkmen cooperation.

An official reception was held in the government residence on behalf of the President of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon in honour of the leaders of delegations participating in the CSTO and SCO summits.
