In connection with the celebration of the 70th anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War, President of the Republic of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon sent congratulatory messages to the heads of the Commonwealth of Independent States.

On this occasion, the President of the country also received congratulatory letters and telegrams from heads of state of foreign countries, state and public figures.

Today, with the participation of President Emomali Rahmon in the capital Victory Park in honor of the 70th anniversary of the Great Victory over Nazism took place a ceremony of laying wreaths to the memorial flame.

The President of the Republic of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon received the Chairman of the Swiss National Bank Thomas Jordan.

At the meeting the issues of multifaceted cooperation between Tajikistan and Switzerland were discussed.

President Emomali Rahmon expressed satisfaction with the cooperation and partnership of Tajikistan and Switzerland, in particular, he said: "We consider Switzerland as one of our important partners in the European continent and pay special attention to it."

Today, a regular meeting of the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan was held under the chairmanship of the President of the Republic of Tajikistan, Head of the Government of the country Emomali Rahmon.

At the beginning of the meeting the personnel issue was considered, in particular, Sherali Siddikov appointed Acting Director of the National Social Investment Fund of Tajikistan,

Mahmadullo Sheraliev - executive director of the Project Implementation Unit for the reconstruction and the continuation of the construction of secondary schools;

President of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon sent a telegram of condolences to the President of the Federal Democratic Republic of Nepal Ram Baran Yadav, which reads, in particular:

We are deeply saddened by the news of the earthquake in Nepal, which resulted in the deaths of thousands of people and damage to property.

On behalf of the Government and people of Tajikistan I express my deepest condolences to the friendly people of Nepal in connection with this great loss, and my sincere sympathy to relatives of the victims.

President of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon sent a congratulatory telegram to the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Nursultan Nazarbayev, which reads, in particular:
