We are deeply saddened by the news of severe floods and mudslides that hit various parts of Belgium, which resulted in the loss of life and caused significant material damage.

The message reads, in part:
“Excellency,
We are deeply saddened by the news of heavy flooding due to heavy rains in the friendly country of Germany, which took many lives and caused great material damage.
The Founder of Peace and National Unity, Leader of the Nation, President of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon met with heads of delegations taking part in the meeting of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) Council of Foreign Ministers. The meeting took place in the Palace of the Nation.
The discussion focused on the current status and prospects for the development of relations between SCO member nations and the preparation for the jubilee meeting of the SCO Council of Heads of State in Dushanbe.
On the evening of July 13, the Founder of Peace and National Unity — Leader of the Nation, President of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon held a telephone conversation with the UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres.
President Emomali Rahmon once again congratulated Guterres on his re-election as the UN Secretary-General and stressed that Tajikistan attaches paramount importance to the development and expansion of its relations with this comprehensive multilateral structure.
