Since the early days of gaining its state independence, the Republic of Tajikistan, based on the principles of the “open doors” policy, peacefulness and objectivity, established and subsequently extended and strengthened friendly, equal and mutually beneficial relations with most countries of the world, and with number of them established strategic partnership. One of the priorities of the international strategy of the Republic of Tajikistan is the policy of good-neighborliness and multilateral cooperation with the Central Asian states.

The Founder of Peace and National Unity, Leader of the Nation, President of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon and President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev attended Tajik – Uzbek Evening of Friendship gala concert hosted in the Kokhi Borbad State Complex.

The concert started with inaugural speeches by the heads of state.

The President of the Republic of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon signed an executive order to award the Order of Zarrintoj (Gold Crown) 1st Class to President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev.

Following the talks, Emomali Rahmon and Shavkat Mirziyoyev signed a Joint Statement of the President of the Republic of Tajikistan and the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan.

Then, President Rahmon and President Mirziyoyev witnessed the signing of following agreements:

- Agreement between the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan and the Government of the Republic of Uzbekistan on cooperation in the field of industry and new technologies;

The Founder of Peace and National Unity, Leader of the Nation, President of the Republic of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon held talks at the Palace of the Nation with the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev who is in Dushanbe on an official visit.

Following the official welcoming ceremony, the two presidents had a one-on-one discussion. Later the talks continued in an expanded format.

President of the Republic of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon and the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev participated in the launch ceremonies of a secondary educational Institution in Uzbekistan’s Urgut district of Samarkand region and Healthcare complex Friendship of Tajikistan and Uzbekistan in Tajikistan’s Kubodiyon district of Khatlon Province via teleconference.

The Founder of Peace and National Unity, Leader of the Nation, President of Tajikistan Emomai Rahmon held a meeting of the government today.

The meeting’s agenda included the process of implementation of the governmental decree on the comprehensive program for the development of physical culture and sports for 2017-2021. Chairman of the Committee for Youth Affairs and Sports Abdullo Rahmonzoda delivered reports on this matter.

The official visit of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev to Tajikistan has come to an end. President of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmom saw off President Tokayev to the Dushanbe International Airport.

As a result of the successful visit, seven new cooperation documents have been signed which will contribute to expanding and strengthening friendly relations and strategic partnership between the two countries.

In the Palace of the Nation, the Founder of Peace and National Unity, Leader of the Nation, President of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon held talks with the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev who arrived in Dushanbe on an official visit.

Following the official welcoming ceremony and introduction of members of the two delegations, the counterparts had a one-on-one discussion, which was followed by a meeting with the participation of both delegations.
