A special decree of the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan was also adopted on the establishment of the State Educational Institution "Khatlon State Medical University".

The Founder of Peace and National Unity – the Leader of the Nation, President of the Republic of Tajikistan H.E. Mr. Emomali Rahmon today held a working meeting with the heads of the Ministries of Defense, Internal Affairs, the State Committee for National Security, as well as National Guard, the Agency on State Financial Control and Fight against Corruption and Drug Control Agency and other relevant bodies.

A regular meeting of the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan was held today under the chairmanship of the Founder of Peace and National Unity - Leader of the Nation, President of the Republic of Tajikistan, the Head of Government of the country Emomali Rahmon.

During the review of the staff issue at the beginning of the meeting it was approved the new board of the Service for State Supervision over Safety in Industry and Mining.

Mr. Emomali Rahmon received the UN Under-Secretary-General and Executive Secretary of the United Nations Economic and Social Commission for Asia and Pacific (ESCAP) Dr. Shamshad Akhtar.

The socio-economic cooperation between Tajikistan and the UN were discussed during the meeting.
