The Founder of Peace and National Unity - Leader of the Nation, President of the Republic of Tajikistan, His Excellency Emomali Rahmon accompanied by Dushanbe Chairperson, Rustami Emomali, planted some types of decorative and evergreen trees such as Leyland cypress and Sequoia in Navruzgoh Park and gave start to the tree planting campaign in the country.

The President of the Republic of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon issued an Executive Order appointing Qahhorzoda Fayziddin Sattor the Minister of Finance of the Republic of Tajikistan. Qahhorzoda Fayziddin has replaced Qurboniyon Abdusalom Karim as Finance Minister.

The Founder of Peace and National Unity – Leader of the Nation, President of the Republic of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon sent a message of condolences to the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev.

The message reads, in particular:

"Dear Shavkat Miromonovich,

I was deeply saddened by the news of the fire of a passenger bus that occurred in the Aktobe Province of the Republic of Kazakhstan and took the lives of 52 people.

The Founder of Peace and National Unity - Leader of the Nation, President of the Republic of Tajikistan, His Excellency Emomali Rahmon chaired an enlarged meeting of the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan at the Government House, to review the result of the country's socio-economic development in 2017 and main tasks set out for 2018.

The President of the Republic of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon issued an executive order appointing Ubaidullo Jamoliddin Mahmadsaid Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Tajikistan to the French Republic.

Under another executive order, the President relieved Nazarov Homidjon Temurovich of his duties as Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Tajikistan to the French Republic due to transfer to other job.

The President of the Republic of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon and the President of the Kyrgyz Republic Sooronbay Jeenbekov exchanged congratulatory messages on the occasion of the 25th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between their countries.

The Founder of Peace and National Unity – Leader of the Nation, President of the Republic of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon met at the government residence with the Prime Minister of the Republic of Uzbekistan Abdulla Aripov, who is in Tajikistan on a working visit.

The President of the Republic of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon signed an executive order on holding the Year of tourism and folk crafts development in the Republic of Tajikistan.

The President has declared 2018 the Year of tourism and folk crafts development in order to develop tourism and revive folk crafts sector.

The Executive Office of the President of the Republic of Tajikistan should prepare and submit for approval a draft programme of events within a month period.
