The Founder of Peace and National Unity, Leader of the Nation, President of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon and Speaker of the National Assembly, Chairman of Dushanbe Rustam Emomali attended the opening ceremony of the new Marriage Ceremony House.

President Rahmon also attended the awarding ceremony of the marriage certificates to ten young couples, most of whom are orphans. He presented them with cash assistance as well as all household items, including refrigerators, washing and sewing machines, TVs, and carpets.

Today, the Founder of Peace and National Unity, Leader of the Nation, President of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon had a telephone conversation with President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev.

In an atmosphere of friendship the heads of state exchanged warm Eid al-Fitr greetings and wished each other well-being, peace, stability, and prosperity.

Today, the Founder of Peace and National Unity, Leader of the Nation, President of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon had a telephone conversation with the Chairman of Vakhsh district of Khatlon Province Kurbonali Yusupov.

Yusupov informed President on the situation following the natural disaster.

President Rahmon instructed Yusupov to provide timely assistance to the affected people and to restore the destroyed residential houses and other socio-economic structures as soon as possible.

Today, the Founder of Peace and National Unity, Leader of the Nation, President of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon had a telephone conversation with the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev.

At the outset of the conversation, the officials wished each other a happy Eid al-Fitr while to the people of the two countries they wished well-being and peace.

Prime Minister Kohir Rasulzoda and the Chairman of Khatlon Province Kurbon Hakimzoda briefed President Emomali Rahmon in a telephone conversation about the natural disasters that affected a number of cities and districts of Khatlon.

The heavy rains that resulted in mudflows in May 11 destroyed multiple residential houses, roads and other important economic facilities.

On May 11, the Founder of Peace and National Unity, Leader of the Nation, President of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon sent a message of condolences to President of Russia Vladimir Putin.

It is with great sorrow and deep indignation that I received the tragic news of the brutal acts of violence perpetrated against students and employees of the secondary school in Kazan.

On May 10, the Founder of Peace and National Unity, Leader of the Nation, President of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon sent a message of condolences to the President of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan Mohammad Ashraf Ghani.

The message reads, in particular:

It is with deep sorrow and immeasurable hatred that I have received the news of numerous casualties among the civilian population, including young girls, following the terrible and dastardly terrorist attack in western Kabul.

On May 8, the Founder of Peace and National Unity, Leader of the Nation, President of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon left for Moscow at the invitation of the Russian President Vladimir Putin.

President was seen off at the Dushanbe International Airport by the chairmen of the National Assembly and Assembly of Representatives, the Prime Minister, and the Chief of Staff of the Presidential Executive Office, among other officials.

The Founder of Peace and National Unity, Leader of the Nation, President of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon laid a wreath at the Eternal Flame at the Victory Park Wall to celebrate the 76th anniversary of the Victory in the Great Patriotic War of 1941 — 1945 and paid tribute to the war victims.

Speaker of the National Assembly, Chairman of Dushanbe Rustam Emomali accompanied President Rahmon in this ceremony.

The Founder of Peace and National Unity, Leader of the Nation, President of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon had a telephone conversation with Chairman of the Sughd Province Rajabboy Ahmadzoda.

Ahmadzoda briefed President Rahmon on the current state of rehabilitation of homes destroyed in the border conflict which occurred in late April. The reconstruction work is underway in Isfara and Bobojon Ghafurov.
