The Founder of Peace and National Unity, Leader of the Nation, President of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon is visiting Sughd Province to review the socio-economic development of the region, and to take part in the opening of the facility commemorating the 30th anniversary of independence.

The Founder of Peace and National Unity, Leader of the Nation, President of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon spoke at the opening ceremony of the International Symposium commemorating the 700th anniversary of Tajik poet Kamoli Khujandi.

The symposium that is taking place in Khujand is being attended by a number of government members, heads of regional executive authorities, representatives of home and overseas public intellectual communities.

The Founder of Peace and National Unity, Leader of the Nation, President of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon arrived in Sughd Province today.

The purpose of President Rahmon's visit to Sughd is to take part in the celebration of the 700th anniversary of the Tajik-Persian poet Kamoli Khujandi. An international symposium will be held in Khujand on October 16, 2020.

The Founder of Peace and National Unity, Leader of the Nation, President of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon in Khujand has attended the opening ceremony of the Khujand textile sewing factory.

The factory was provided with the state-of-the-art equipment made in China, Russia, and Italy; it is capable of producing 60,000 sets of school uniforms per year and it will employ 200 people in two shifts. The products will be aimed at domestic market and will be exported to Russia, Kazakhstan and Belarus.

While on a working trip, the Founder of Peace and National Unity, Leader of the Nation, President Emomali Rahmon visited the administrative center of Sughd.

He learned about the production process at the Sirdaryo LLC, which produces various types of tomato juices and fruit drinks, fruit paste, tomato paste, nectars, fruit-flavored drinks and healthy canned foods.

The company is equipped with modern production lines purchased from Europe, Russia and China. Its production capacity is about 10 tonnes of fruits and vegetables per day.

During his trip to Sughd Province, the Founder of Peace and National Unity, Leader of the Nation, President of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon had a working meeting with officials of a number of ministries and government agencies, Executive Body of State Authority of the Sughd Province. The heads of flour and grease companies, suppliers of grain products have also attended.

The Founder of Peace and National Unity, Leader of the Nation, President of the Republic of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon attended in Khujand city the Tulip Festival (Sayri Guli Lola) and a regional competition Flowers (Gulho). The festival took place in the Park of Culture and Recreation named after Kamoli Khujandi.

Today, the Founder of Peace and National Unity, Leader of the Nation, President of the Republic of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon arrived in Sughd. The trip’s aim was to get acquainted with the socio-economic development of the province, ongoing activities on landscaping and to take part in the opening ceremony of various new facilities.
