First of all, I would like to once again express my sincere and cordial gratitude to the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, His Excellency Shavkat Miromonovich Mirziyoyev for the invitation to visit brotherly Uzbekistan on a state visit.
We very much welcome this visit and attach particular importance to its results.

Today we have successfully conducted our first dialogue devoted to the launch of the International Decade of Action “Water for Sustainable Development 2018 - 2028”.
Deliberations and productive exchange of views among stakeholders prove the need we should enhance and reinforce our efforts to achieve water related goals and targets.

Dear representatives of the Mass Media,
First of all, I would like to note that we reached historic decisions regarding the complex of the most important bilateral issues of our agenda, as a result of today’s state visit of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, His Excellency Shavkat Miromonovich to our country.
A constructive and thorough discussion on a wide range of issues of Tajik-Uzbek cooperation and prospects for their development took place in the atmosphere of full mutual understanding.

At the outset I would like to welcome you to the ancient land of Tajik people and wish good luck to this Forum.
The First Session of the Arab Cooperation and Economic Forum with Central Asia and Azerbaijan was held three years ago in Riyadh and it adopted the Riyadh Declaration.

I would first of all like to express my appreciation for the organization of today’s meeting and invitation to participate in this Panel.
Our Panel gave a new impetus to the promoting of understanding of the role of water resources in achieving the Sustainable Development Goals.
