In the afternoon of August 20, within his official visit to Turkmenistan, President of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon paid tribute to the history and culture of the Turkmen people and laid wreaths at the “Eternal Fire” on the memory square of Ashgabat at the monuments dedicated to the Battle Gukteppa and victims of the earthquake in Ashgabat.

In this ceremony, the President of the Republic of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon was accompanied by senior officials from Turkmenistan.

Constructive discussions at the highest level continued during the official talks in an expanded format.

A wide range of issues related to the expansion of political, trade-economic, scientific-cultural relations was considered and important consensus reached at the meetings and negotiations at the highest level.

Official visit of the President of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon to Turkmenistan began this morning with a welcoming ceremony at the Ashgabat Independence Square.
