In the afternoon, President of the country Emomali Rahmon also met with the President of the Kyrgyz Republic Almazbek Atambayev.

During the conversation the issues pertaining to neighborly relations and the development of wide-ranging cooperation have been considered.

Heads of both states have stressed their interest in the soonest solution of the disputable border issues in the area of Isfara city of Tajikistan and Bodkand region of Kyrgyzstan and prevention of any provocative actions.

At the meeting which discussed the issues related to good neighborly relations and mutually beneficial cooperation it was noted with satisfaction that the trade turnover between the two countries in 2012 has reached 80 million USD and increased for 43 million compared to 2011.
