The Founder of Peace and National Unity, Leader of the Nation, President of the Republic of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon met with the President of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan Muhammad Ashraf Ghani. The meeting took place today on the sidelines of the Meeting of the Council of Heads of State of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization in Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan.

On June 13, the Founder of Peace and National Unity - Leader of the Nation, President of the Republic of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon, at the Palace of the Nation, met with the President of the People’s Republic of Bangladesh Muhammad Abdul Hamid in the margins of the Fifth Summit of the Conference on Interaction and Confidence-Building Measures in Asia.

The head of state welcomed the distinguished guest in the Tajik land.

On June 13, in the Palace of the Nation, the Founder of Peace and National Unity, Leader of the Nation, President of the Republic of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon met with the President of the Socialist Democratic Republic of Sri Lanka Maithripala Sirisena.

The meeting discussed the results of the first high-level talks between the two countries held in 2017, as well as issues of bilateral cooperation in various fields.

The Founder of Peace and National Unity, Leader of the Nation, President of the Republic of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon held talks at the Palace of the Nation with the President of the European Council Donald Tusk who arrived in Tajikistan on an official visit.

The consultations were preceded by an official welcoming ceremony. President of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon and European Council President Donald Tusk had a one-on-one meeting and then continued their talks with their delegations present.

On the sidelines of his working visit to Nur-Sultan, Kazakhstan, the Founder of Peace and National Unity, Leader of the Nation, President of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon held a meeting with the First President of the Republic of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev.

During the meeting, President of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon noted the dynamics of the successful development of the Tajik-Kazakh relations and the strategic partnership in all areas of cooperation. He also stressed the special role Nursultan Nazarbayev played in this prosess.

The Founder of Peace and National Unity, Leader of the Nation, President of the Republic of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon received the Minister of Defence of the Russian Federation Sergei Shoigu.

Key issues concerning the bilateral cooperation between the two countries were discussed during the meeting.

President Emomali Rahmon stressed that the further development of a whole range of strategic relations between Tajikistan and Russia is one of the main priorities of Tajikistan’s foreign policy.

The Founder of Peace and Natinal Unity, Leader of the Nation, President of the Republic of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon received the OSCE Chairperson-in-Office, the Minister of Foreign and European Affairs of the Slovak Republic Miroslav Lajcak. The meeting took place at the Palace of the Nation in Dushanbe.

The Founder of Peace and National Unity, Leader of the Nation, President of the Republic of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon received the heads of delegations of the 46th session of the Security and Intelligence Agencies of the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) participating states.

The Fouder of Peace and National Unity, Leader of the Nation, President of the Republic of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon received the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the People’s Republic of China Wang Yi. The meeting took place in the Palace of the Nation on May 20.

A whole range of issues was discussed pertaining to the strategic partnership between Tajikistan and China, as well as cooperation within the framework of regional and international organizations.

The Founder of Peace and National Unity, Leader of the Nation, President of the Republic of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon received the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Japan Tarō Kōno, who is in Tajikistan on an official visit.

The meeting took place on the sidelines of the seventh Foreign Ministers' Meeting of the Central Asia Plus Japan Dialogue.

The discussion focused on various aspects of bilateral relations between Tajikistan and Japan.
