The Founder of Peace and National Unity – Leader of the Nation, President of the Republic of Tajikistan His Excellency Emomali Rahmon in New York held a meeting with Mr. Ronald Pollett, vice president of General Electric (GE), president & CEO for GE in Russia and CIS.

The two sides, satisfied with their second meeting, expressed their desire that Tajikistan and General Electric would maintain a permanent dialogue in the future in order to expand their ties.

The Founder of Peace and National Unity – Leader of the Nation, President of the Republic of Tajikistan His Excellency Emomali Rahmon met with Prime Minister of Canada Justin Trudeau on the sidelines of the 72nd Session of the UN General Assembly (UNGA 72) in New York.

It was stressed that this year marks the 25th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Tajikistan and Canada. Tajikistan-Canada’s relations have been developing based on a solid foundation of mutual respect, mutual trust, equality and mutual benefit.

On the sidelines of the 72nd UN General Assembly session the Founder of Peace and National Unity – Leader of the Nation, President of the Republic of Tajikistan His Excellency Emomali Rahmon had a meeting with Administrator of United Nations Development Programme Achim Steiner.

Bilateral cooperation and its prospects was the subject of discussion.

The Founder of Peace and National Unity - Leader of the Nation, President of the Republic of Tajikistan His Excellency Emomali Rahmon met with UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres on the sidelines of the plenary meeting of the 72nd session of the UN General Assembly in New York.

The Founder of Peace and National Unity - Leader of the Nation, President of the Republic of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon met with President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoev and President of the Republic of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbaev in Ashgabat, on the sidelines of an official opening of the 2017 Asian Indoor and Martial Arts Games.

The Founder of Peace and National Unity - Leader of the Nation, President of the Republic of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon in the city of Ashgabat of Turkmenistan also met with the President of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan Mamnoon Hussain at the opening ceremony of the 5th Asian Games.

The Founder of Peace and National Unity - Leader of the Nation, President of the Republic of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon in the city of Ashgabat in the margins of the opening ceremony of the 5th Asian Games held a bilateral meeting with the President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimukhamedov.

The Founder of Peace and National Unity – Leader of the Nation, President of the Republic of Tajikistan His Excellency Emomali Rahmon received today the President of the Islamic Development Bank (IsDB) Dr. Bandar Hajjar. 

The discussion covered various aspects of bilateral cooperation, in particular, the prospects of Tajikistan – IsDB cooperation.

Today, in the Palace of the Nation, the Founder of Peace and National Unity – Leader of the Nation, President of the Republic of Tajikistan His Excellency Emomali Rahmon received the Secretary General of the Collective Security Treaty Organization Yuri Khachaturov, who visited Tajikistan for the first time as the head of this organization.

The meeting discussed issues related to preparations for the next meeting of the heads of member states of the Organization to be held in Minsk on November this year, as well as other topics of mutual interest.

The Founder of Peace and National Unity – Leader of the Nation, President of the Republic of Tajikistan His Excellency Emomali Rahmon had a meeting with President of the Republic of South Africa Jacob Zuma on the sidelines of the Dialogue of the Emerging Markets and Developing Countries on the margins of the 9th BRICS Summit in Xiamen.
