Signing of a package of new cooperation documents between Tajikistan and UAE

A ceremony of signing of documents of cooperation was held following the top-level talks between the high-level delegations of Tajikistan and the UAE.

It should be noted that the legal base of relations between the two countries consisted of 12 important documents. Today, a package of new bilateral documents in the spheres of science and education, sports and tourism, security and religion has been signed.

- Joint Statement on the expansion of partnership between the Republic of Tajikistan and the United Arab Emirates;

- Agreement between the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan and the Government of the United Arab Emirates on cooperation in the field of security and counter-terrorism;

- Agreement between the Republic of Tajikistan and the United Arab Emirates on extradition of prisoners;

- Memorandum of Understanding on Political Consultations between the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Tajikistan and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the United Arab Emirates;

- Memorandum of Understanding between the Committee for Youth Affairs, Sports and Tourism under the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan and the National Council for Tourism and the antiques heritage of the United Arab Emirates on cooperation in the sphere of tourism;

- Memorandum of Understanding between the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan and the Government of the United Arab Emirates on cooperation in the field of higher education and scientific research.

As a result of negotiations and the signing of new cooperation agreements, President of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon and Vice President, Prime Minister of the United Arab Emirates and Ruler of Dubai His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum adopted a joint statement on expansion of partnership of the Republic of Tajikistan and the United Arab Emirates.
