Today, the Founder of Peace and National Unity, Leader of the Nation, President of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon received a message from the President of the People’s Republic of China Xi Jinping.

The message reads, in particular:

“Dear Mr. President,

I express my sincere gratitude for your support in connection with China's struggle against the outbreak of the coronavirus.

Led by the government of China, the people of China are struggling against this new virus. We are fully confident that China has sufficient strength and power for gaining victory in the struggle against this epidemic.

Last June in Dushanbe, we had a friendly summit and meetings regarding the development of the Sino-Tajik relations. Our relations within the framework of CICA process between the two countries have entered a new phase of joint development and prosperity.

I attach great importance to the development of relations between China and Tajikistan and I am ready to continue to maintain close contacts with you with the aim of continuing their development and comprehensively strengthening them for the benefit of our countries and peoples.

I wish you good health and success, and to the friendly people of Tajikistan - happiness and prosperity.”
