The President of the Republic of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon has met with the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Republic of Iran Ali Khamenei within the framework of the Non-Aligned Movement Summit of Heads of States in Tehran.
It was expressed confidence that the trade, economic and social cooperation between the two countries will develop according to modern demands and existing opportunities and resources.
The regularity of relations on various levels of leadership of both states has been called as an important factor for enhancement of good relations.
It was noted with satisfaction that today 150 Iranian companies lead their fruitful activities in Tajikistan.
It was highlighted that the cooperation in the spheres of energy, transport, road building, and agriculture, processing of its products, production of construction materials and the establishment of joint industrial enterprises as the paramount aspects of economic-trade relationships between the two countries is promising.
A constructive talk was also held on the trilateral cooperation between Tajikistan, Iran and Afghanistan, as well as other issues of mutual interest.
